It just went up yesterday, and once again all of the MU players in the top 100 dropped from their previous ranking.

www.rscihoops.com

Cadougan #47 - Down from #39
Williams #67 - down from #62
Maymon #73 - down from #68

Part of the reason for the drop is changes in individual rankings, but mostly it has to do with a change in how the RSCI is calculated.  Jeff Crume, the guy that does the RSCI, decided to drop HoopScoop from his analysis since HoopScoop ranks high schoolers and prep players separately.  All three of our guys were in the Top 25 according to HoopScoop, and without that ranking they have fallen accordingly.

BMA,
Did the other rating agencies (minus hoopscoop) drop our guys or did they remain about the same...I guess I'm trying to compare apples to apples, if hoopscoop was still being used would our guys have risen in the RSCI rankings?

It is interesting to note that in the "winners" section we are ranked 17th.   There is no surprise with Kentucky having the best overall recruiting class.  Villanova is ranked 3rd. Uconn is ranked 12th.  It's Indiana is ranked 13th.   Louisville is ranked 15th and Pitt 18th.

It's sort of mixed, they dropped in some places but went up in others....other than Maymon who dropped everywhere.

Cadougan
Scout: Down 3 (#50 to #53)
Rivals: Down 13(#60 to #73)
HoopMasters: Down 18 (#27 to #45)
Rob Harrington: Up 6 (#55 to #49)
PrepStars: Up 8 (#49 to #41)
ESPN: Down 11(#65 to #76)

Williams
Scout: Up 6 (#96 to #90)
Rivals: Down (#99 to out of Top 100)
HoopMasters: Down 19 (#30 to #49)
Rob Harrington: Up 5 (#57 to #52)
PrepStars: Down 1 (#42 to #41)
ESPN: Up 2 (#97 to #95)

Maymon
Scout: Down 9 (#75 to #84)
Rivals: Down 1 (#46 to #47)
HoopMasters: Down 6 (#65 to #71)
Rob Harrington: Unranked both periods
PrepStars: Unranked both periods
ESPN: Down 3 (#76 to #79)

Really though, you have to factor in their ranking on HoopScoop with what replaced it.  Because they didn't just drop it and not do anything, they started using Bob Gibbon's All Star report, which was restarted after Gibbons left ESPN in 2008, but he didn't put out his first ranking until well after the Fall 2008 RSCI.  When you do that, you see:

Cadougan: #12 in HoopScoop, #42 in Gibbons
Williams: #14 in HoopScoop. #83 in Gibbons
Maymon: #23 in HoopScoop, #44 in Gibbons

So while they likely would have dropped, it would not have been much.  Of course this is all based on the HoopScoop ranking from November, he hasn't published his final one yet.
