Apologies if his name has come up before, but I hadn't seen it.

George Marshall, point guard, Chicago Brooks College Prep

Chicago Brooks 2011 guard George Marshall has a couple things on his mind right now, but what is standing out above the rest? "Just winning games!" said Marshall.  The 6 foot sophomore has the keys to kingdom for Chris Head's Brooks squad. Alongside his talented young teammates Marshall and Brooks have a very bright future, and will continue to improve as their youthfulness continues to translate into experience.  As for his recruiting, it is in its early stages, but it's still noteworthy to listen what schools are showing interest. "I've been talking to Kentucky, Illinois, Xavier, Northwestern, Illinois State, and Marquette lately."

The Bullseye guys listed him last summer as the 9th best sophomore in Illinois.

Scored 29 points, including 24 in the second half, in a playoff game a few weeks back.

What we've seen from Buzz is commitments from completely unmentioned prospects. Therefore Marshall most likely will go elsewhere.

I've felt the same way.  It seems like any recruit that is mentioned here commits somewhere else...not saying that's good or bad....as long as the players pan out I guess it doesn't matter.  I wasn't following Maymon's recruitment that closely but I imagine his name was circulated here quite a bit....other than that it seems like Buzz signs unmentioned kids.  Sure, it would be fun to snag players like Snaer, Riley, Williams, Wilson, etc. but if they other guys develop and deliver...fine by me.

Cadougan was discussed quite a bit, as well as Maymon. Otule was known ahead of time as well.
McMorrow, Buycks, Bowden, Clark and now DJO seem to have come out of nowhere. Maybe that's because Buzz still is a relative unknown. When Roy Williams or Bill Self show up in a gym to scout a kid, everybody knows it and word spreads fast
Buzz Williams, not so much.

Regardless, I propose a moratorium on any future discussion of Doron Lamb and Wayne Blackshear.

Also, it could be because Mcmorrow was from canada, and buycks, clark, and DJO are JUCO guys. I feel like those conditions could probably lead to less press. Not sure about Bowden's status, however.
