Anyone remember when he did "great independent basketball" in the early to mid-1980s?  Harry and Jim Durcher (sp?) broadcasted MU, Depaul and ND games (mainly ND games).  So, in a sense, he is a former MU announcer.

Mark "the Bird" Fidrych died today as well.  He was 54.
