Seriously were these refs trying to give the game to the illini.  What the hell happened the last two minutes.  One bad call after another.  Major props to western kentucky for surviving the refs and the illini.

the refing was horrible - Illini was mugging the WKU players into submission.
You heard it here first. Davante Gardner will be a Beast this year.

I was at the game - calls were bad but W. Ky. fell apart in the final minutes, plus, out of nowhere, Illinois actually hit some shots. Don't follow Illinois but watching them it's apparent they have no consistent shooters, their big guys are rails and useless and their defense allowed way too much dribble penetration. They were a sham of a No. 5 seed and an easy upset pick in my brackets.

Gonzaga, on the other hand, looked strong in the final 10 minutes after struggling with the Zips in the first half and part of the second. The Gonzaga/W Ky. should be a good one tomorrow...but enough of that, Marquette tips in 2 1/2 hours!

Watching Illiniois this year, they simply weren't very good and that is why so many people picked W. Ky to win this game.  While some will look at the loss of Frazier as some huge obstacle, he's not a difference-maker.  Illini only played well when McCamey was on his game and he was incredibly inconsistent.

Illini had no business being a 5 seed.
