floor at the Bradley Center

just wondering if anyone thinks this floor needs to be changed or change the hockey venue....there have been so many slips/falls/breaks on this floor over the years that I think MU needs to seriously consider some type of change. Having the Admirials playing hockey there and  then having a temp floor on top of rink just doesn't seem like a good idea.

Our players go completely flat out.  I would tend to think that has something to do with it when taking things to the edge.

I think the athletic department needs to be riding the maintenance crew's ass like Zorro until this is fixed.  It's been bad for a while but that extra little bit of effort last night facilitated simply too many slips.  There is no reason an NBA arena, albeit an old one, should have this sort of Slip-n-Slide floor.

At lot of arenas have temp floor to cover the ice rink and build up the court.  Quicken Loans Arena in Cleveland has the exact same thing.  Polar tiles cover the ice, following by a composite material.  From there it varies ... some will put an additional layer before they lay the hardwood.

If there's a problem with the floor being slippery it is because of the hardwood and not because it is over ice.  This is a common practice.

The refs even called them out during one game - St. John's I think.

I've seen 8 year-olds doing a better job.  It appears that those guys are paid - Let's get some kids volunteering.  Marquette will get an enthusiastic crew that does a great job and turn some kids into Marquette fans for life.

If the Bucks players slip and slide around on the floor then I could see the ice underneath the floor being related. If they don't, it has to be a different cause.

I agree, it is that dude with the curly hair's fault.  Bring back the kids.
