...DJ has rid himself of the mental block he has on the line.  4-4.  All nothing but net.

Someone said it somewhere else, but it seems if he hits his first couple, he's fine from there on out.  Too bad he didn't have more opportunities he may have raised his percentage ten points!

DJ's free throw cure is plain and simple.  When he leans back on his release, he's almost always short.  Last night he stood straight up after his release, and nailed everyone.

I don't know how coaches didn't see this problem weeks ago (I hope they did).  But, many of us on this board noticed that quirk, and were quick to point it out.

Agree with both the leaning thing, as well as hitting the first one...it's just like his shooting, if he can get a couple to go down, he'll shoot well.  The only exception I've seen to that was the USF game, he hit that first 3, then went o'fer.

Weeks ago? He has had the same problem on his FT's and jump shot, with occasional, temporary improvement all 4 years. Its amazingto me that 2 coaching staffs have not been more able to crack that nut.

Agreed that he's had problems leaning back/fading away on his 3 balls and free throws for quite sometime....it's just been the last few weeks/month that it has become extremely comical and embarrassing (countless airballs/barely hitting the front of the rim).

Right when he got to the line for his first attempt, I paid close attention to his release.  Night and day difference from the past 6-8 games.  Night and day.
