And not in good form. The kids have shown a good amount of composure all season long in knowing how to get wins. Credit this to their maturity and Buzz not drowning them in data.

It's time for them to step up again, steal the win in South Bend and accomplish two things: add further credit to their unbeaten start; and, eliminate a contender for a top-4 bye.

Go Warriors!!!

🏀

If we stay out of foul trouble, we're walking out of their high school gym with a win.

Run them, run them and run them.  Tire out Gody, Hillesbrand and Zeller.

I think this one comes down to 3-pt shooting. If ND is making 'em, we are gonna have a tough time getting a win. Harangody will largely do what he does. I think this one very much comes down to the defensive job that James and McNeal do on Jackson and McAlarney.  Ditto for Matthews (I assume) on Ayers. We will have to make a few as well to offset the low post scoring ND is likely to get.

Kick 'em while they're down, boys!  :D

Arshavin makes a great point. Yes 7-0 looks awesome, but wouldn't 3-5 for the irish almost look as good?   ;D

let's steal one, i dont care if its by 1 or 24
It's not about ME,

Absolutely. We are much quicker and far more athletic.

This will be a very tough game.

ND has it's back against the wall. They go from a game at home against a team they consider beatable (us) to a road game against a very balanced, Pitt team . They should fight like cornered animals.

I hope our boys come with the same intensity and fire. Agree with the poster who said the game hinges on stopping McAlarney, Jackson and whoever the surprise starter is. No easy ones to build confidence/momentum from guys who don't look like Shrek.

Two Keys
ND played good D vs UConn and almost won. We've gotta force them to guard us all over the floor. Buzz's paint touches and ball reversals are going to be more important than ever in getting their players out of position and into situations where they're more likely to have to foul.

ND does not turn it over and they're good at getting to the line. We've got to overcome both of those strengths. Need ball pressure to force awkward angles on post entry passes and then fundamental position D that forces guys to shoot over us and draws a few charges.

Go warriors. Al Trumps the Gipper.

ND is good at protecting the ball.  They are not good at getting to the line.

I agree with the story line that ND has to win this game.  That is a lot of pressure.  How are they going to react coming down the stretch if they don't have a lead?  If the lead is going back and forth?  If we're up 1-2 points?

Pressure does funny things to people.  Marquette has nothing to lose and ND has everything to lose.

Go Marquette.

I LOVE our chances with McNeal and DJ guarding James and McAlarney.  And Matthews should be a great mismatch vs. Ayers.  My only worries are the home-ref factor and bad shooting.  If we can get it going like the last 10 min. vs Providence in the first 10 min. at ND, put us in the W column.
