How do the Networks pick their Games?

The marquis game today is #12 Louisvile vs. #8 Syracuse. Here in New Jersey I can get this game only on Full Court. CBS has a SEC/Big 10 double header in HD today. I guess #12 vs. #8 is not good enough to be nationally televised.

ESPN would be the one to be annoyed with I would think. I don't know why they aren't showing it over bowling. But maybe somebody who knows better could shine some more light on this?

Louisville/Syracuse was going to be a big matchup regardless of how they currently stand, so someone screwed up.

I'm guessing it has to do with the nature of CBS's TV contract.  Something to the effect of they have to pick an even number of games from every conference they have a contract with, or something like that.
