I have always hated website redesigns.

yahoo seems to piss me off every couple of years when I have to figure out there new layout.

I really don't care for fancy expanding tabs and disappearing/appearing features... its slow and pointless when I had all the information I needed at a click.  Now I have to drag over where I *think* they may have put the old link.

I didn't check it out until a couple of minutes ago, where it told me that the Packers fired pretty much their entire defensive staff.

If it keeps giving me good news, what's not to like???

in general the posters on muscoop hate all change so it doesn't surprise me that they are against web redesigns in general.

The website redesign is good because it finally gives ESPN an opportunity to promote themselves.  They do so little of that, it'll be interesting to see if they take advantage.

East Coast users of the ESPN website said it didn't fit their fast-paced, take-no-prisoners type of life so in order to not leave them feeling slighted, they re-did the website.  They also decided to move the start of any athletic event to before 9 PM EST as to not add to the sleeplessness of the NY media.

Probably a result of everybody going to check it out. They're probably working out kinks that only arise when it's out of beta and bombarded with millions of hits. That's always what happens with a major site redesign.

It was way broke.  I think I had an epileptic seizure every time i visited the old site.  There was way too much happening on the homepage.  Cluttered, unclean, and generally awful.

Count me in for liking the redesign.

I'm disappointed they didn't do a contest and one person from each U.S. state redesigned the espn site, then state's could go head to head in some awesome contest that would drag on for months and take up 20 minutes every sportscenter. 

Man, that would have been sweet.

like any human i don't like change, especially on a website that i use daily. i do like the scroll over scoreboard at the top of the homepage though, thats pretty convenient

It would be great if ESPN ever figured out how to use those 3 inches of nothing on each side of the screen.
