Last night's game agaisnt UWM was the type of game I love to see for DJ - he was distributing the ball, had some very unselfish assists, AND scored 16 points.  That to me is executing at a high level for us.  I would love to see this continue.

totally agree that the UWM game was exactly the kind of game we need from DJ. he had 16 and 8 and there were a couple missed layups that cost him assists. when he plays like that, we're really good.

james is a great player. he's got a shot at leaving MU as our all-time leading scorer and among the tops in assists and steals. he's also had great assist to turn over ratio and has been a one-man press break for four straight years. on top of all that, he's a rock solid defender and nearly always does something that makes you sit back and say wow.

i'm going to enjoy watching him this last year. he's a hell of a player.

+1

But if Buzz can only get him to stop jacking up the threes....................OR, if DJ can ever improve his three point shooting, he will be a real monster to defend.
The shaka sign, sometimes known as "hang loose", is a gesture of friendly intent often associated with Hawaii and surf culture.

I really like the way DJ played against UWM as well.  And as for jacking up 3s  I prefer DJ taking them over Jerel.  DJ is the kind of player who I think plays better in big games, which we really haven't been in so far.  For instance he was very good @Wisconsin last year.
