I noticed at the last two games that the section (if you are facing the court) on the far left closest the opponens bench, the first 10 or so rows are blocked off. Does anyone know why that is? I just found it weird, especially with limiting the number of student section tickets this year that they would take away prime seats from the students like that.

I can't say for sure but i think that section is for recruits. I was sitting on the end right next to that little section, and i saw a guy wearing a Wisconsin playground warriors jacket, hat, and polo. Maybe someone else can confirm, but thats what it looked like to me.

I saw Jeronne Maymon and another recruit I didn't recognize a few rows behind the Marquette bench so I don't think those were recruits but I don't know for sure.

this is a shame.  those are the best student section tickets in my opinion.  zero obstructions since you can see over the cheerleaders waving megaphones.  for my 4 years, those seats were definitely my preferred location in the student section.

best memory... jawing at anthony mason jr, only to have anthony mason sr turn around and telling me to shut my f**king mouth or he would beat my f**king *ss.  wouldn't have been possible if i wasn't sitting in those seats, 5 feet from the opponents family section behind the bench.

Not sure why those seats would be unavailable for the first two games...but the contract with UWM specified some additional seats for UWM administration and guests, so I figured they took those from the student section.

MarqPTM giving it to Harangody's mom after 7 first half beers also wouldn't have been possible.

I think you are right.  There's no other place to put those extra seats except the student section.

Did he tell you these things, or did he shave those messages into his head during half time?

That St. John's game was a riot. My highlight was, during a perfect lull in crowd noise, MUScoop's own "TheManInGold" yelling "Anthony Mason ruined the Bucks!" Carried throughout the section, and made Mason whip his head around to find who said it. Classic.

I heard that!  It was classic. (I'm in 226, a few rows behind the visiting fans/parents.)

You were actually very cooperative.  During the 4 minute timeout in the second half when the "Hey, You Suck" song plays MarqPTM ran down the aisle to get right next to Harangody's mom for it.  A Bradley Center usher stepped in the aisle and made a hand motion for PTM to return to his seat.  PTM gave the usher a thumbs up and returned to his seat.

Very impressive considering the stack of cups he had by the end of the game.

I hate that man...Uncle Vinny is killing me slowly with that class...

Sitting in the student section when Shaq was at a game, or when Lebron O(Uconn?) was there, those were the best seats.
