-According to Scout.com, former Washington star Michael Haynes has surfaced at Fenger. Former Julian coach Loren Jackson has landed at Fenger and is already bringing in talent. Fenger looked very good at the Eisenhower shootout a few months ago and the addition of Haynes, provided the Public League approves the transfer, would likely land Fenger in the preseason Super 25.

Steve Tucker spoke with Jackson, who is currently working on his doctorate, earlier today.

"I am the coach and I'm working at Fenger," Jackson said. "Michael Haynes is here. There were some situations that went on at Washington and his dad did not feel that Washington was a safe environment for him."

Haynes, a 6-6 senior, told Scout he has offers from Marquette and Iowa State and interest from DePaul and Bradley. He was originally considered the top player in the 2009 class. Haynes is a fabulous athlete but his game didn't mature much during his first three seasons. He should make great strides under Jackson's tutelage.

-Young guard Chris Colvin has named USC as his leader, according to Jerry Meyer at Rivals.com. Colvin will visit USC on Sept. 19. He has offers from Florida State, Baylor, Illinois, Kentucky, Providence and Marquette.

-According to Scout.com, Marshall guard Darius Smith will visit Minnesota this weekend. Smith also has offers from DePaul, Marquette, Bradley, Loyola, Iowa State and Oregon State.

Nukem2

These are probably secondary offers at best.  More likely, the MU ship has sailed on these guys following other committments earlier this summer.
