Can you handle another Crean Interview?
« on: June 12, 2008, 10:09:31 PM »
Sorry, was just surfing college sports and found this.  Tommy is pitching his used cars.  Looking more like Bo every day.  Oh, yea, sorry, need to move on.

I wonder how much of Crean's close friendship with Sampson will come back and haunt him if he has problems with his team's record, student off-court problems, etc.

And darnit...those IU fans better be careful because Crean used the dreadful word: "family." ;)

Crean's friendship with Sampson is of no relevance whatsoever.  The cupboard has been emptied and sterilized, now the re-stocking begins.

From what I've seen, Crean has put much of the blame on Sampson (where it does lie ultimately) and so I'm not so sure the friendship is where it was say 3 months ago.

If Sampson didn't screw up, Crean wouldn't have his job.  Seems kind of strange to criticize someone whom you got your job from because they screwed up.  Unless you are an Mega-Ego Maniac.

Somewhat related ....

I was looking at the Men's BB main page on ESPN.  And, for the first time since April 1, I do not see the words "Tom Crean" on it.  How long do you think this will last?

Today's the sentencing with the NCAA.  Look for more "Tom Crean" on today's page.

Good call, his name is back!  They appear to be recycling a Pat Forde column about him

Does anyone know who Tommy hired for his other assistant coaches at IU?
