If you scroll down you'll read about Darius Marrow; who has narrowed his schools down to 3.  Based on what I've read on this board, MU will probably bank the scholarship for 2009 if Marrow decides to go elsewhere.

Yeah, why not take a stab at Morrow (he looks like exactly the type of player we can use right now), and if he doesn't commit, then bank it for '09.  This '09 class will be huge...I'm praying for some combo of Lacy/Wilson/Maymon.

Hope we bank it for 09, Crean used too many shcolarships on projects that didn't pan out and Morrow seems to fit into that category.

On a seperate note does anyone know if Frank Ben Eze ever decided on a school, saw on the BE blog that Pitt stopped recruiting him recently but don't recall if another school signed him.

If it was academics, he wouldn't have picked Davidson.  Not that they aren't a good school, but he made a big deal about how he wanted  a school with a good engineering program, and then picked a school that doesn't offer engineering.

That said, I don't know how much of it was his decision and how much was his family/handlers choosing for him.  If the rumors are true, it isn't really his decision.

To your point, Davidson doesn't have Engineering on their campus, but they do have a program with Columbia and Washington U. (though it's hard to see an athlete doing this program because of the requirement to go to the other school to finish).

I know of at least one other D1 school that has a similar setup and athletes aren't allowed to participate in it because it is completely infeasible to do both. 

And frankly, although I guess it is nice that Davidson offers this sort of program, I am not a big fan of these sorts of programs, and it certainly isn't ideal.  If a kid really wants Engineering going into college, he should go to a school that offers a strong Engineering program, period.  It's another matter if he decides on a school, goes there for a year or two, and then decides on Engineering.  (Many of these agreements with other universities have been set up so that kids don't feel they have to transfer.)  I feel the same way about a kid who really wants to pursue music or art academically in college.  That kid doesn't belong at Marquette, unless it is just an extracurricular pursuit, or if they are just looking for a minor in the arts.

It would appear so.  None of your listed majors are offered by Davidson, but Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry are.  It's a liberal arts school, so he'll need to pick one of those majors.

Good luck to Frank.  Davidson is a strong academic school in an intimate setting.  I honestly do wish him the best, as I've heard he's a fantastic young man.
