The Lens

It's not that TC was the best option but he was better than many many alternatives.  And for the short term he's better than Buzz.  Now long term maybe we just hired the next great thing.

Good luck Buzz, I'll be at every game cheering you on and something tells me you're a touch more sincere than your predecessor so you're already ahead in my book.

Daniel

No one knows more than Buzz how daunting a task is in front of him.  No one knows better than he that he MUST do well at Marquette, he must succeed, or where does he go from there?  So he will work hard, probably ahrder than Crean, and he will do everything he is capable of doing, and will try to get better, learn from others in the biz, and improve.  He wants to succeed, of course, and Marquette is giving him the opportunity to do it.  I think he is grateful, and will work hard to succeed.

I completely agree Daniel.  Though he was only around at MU for a year, I'm sure he knows what we want and expect out of our program.  There is no way that he is going to half-ass this job.  He really doesnt have to do as much as Crean had to do, now that MU is has some national coverage through the BEast, has brand new facilities, Converse, etc.  He can keep more of his focus on getting the players, than promoting the MU name (though some of that will still need to be done).  He seems like a genuine guy that was lucky enough to have this great oppurtunity fall into his lap, and here's to hoping that he will do everything in his power to establish a name for both himself and Marquette.
