Any idea why the U of A-Houston game was blacked out tonight on both Fox Sports SW and Arizona? Don't ever recall a U of A game being blacked out on FSN Arizona. Has there been a change of some sort where this will now be the norm? Thanks.

It was a screwup at our Los Angeles Broadcast Center.  There was a little piece in the Tucson paper today.  That game most certainly should NOT have been blacked out.  I believe we realized the error late in the first half and put the game on, but definitely a mistake somewhere at the hub.

There generally is a program listing that comes to us from the leagues, the broadcasters, etc that tell us what is blacked out and what is "in the clear."   They have many procedures they go through to make sure games are on and which zip codes are properly blacked out, etc.  Of course, if the listing information is wrong or someone put a X in blacked out column instead of a clear....you get the idea.  I'm sure they will be "re-checking" what went wrong today.

Doesn't happen often, but when it does it's not good.
