caught this article off of the yahoo news feed up above.

It's basically a question/answer session similar to what Rosiak hosts every now and then.  Ray Fittipaldo seems to be the pittsburgh beat writer for the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette and he says this:
"Well, Pitt is not going to go undefeated. If I had to take a guess, I would say the Panthers will go 1-2 over this three-game stretch. I think they'll win at Buffalo and lose at Wisconsin and Oklahoma State. They would do really well to go 2-1. This is a tough stretch. "

Wow...

Perhaps not WOW, but a beat writer predicting the hometown team, who happen to be ranked #2 in the country, to lose 2 out of the next 3 to inferior teams is saying something.

hmm.. let's see.. hearing a team homer say they'll probably lose to WI and Oklahoma state.. especially when that person is also saying the team will hopefully be ranked #1 next week.

Even us on this board think we have a pretty good chance of beating WI (just look at the predictions and messages so far).  Granted we're a home game but few people (and least of all Pitt followers) would probably say that WI is evenly matched with Pitt even at WI (and ditto for Okla St. U).

I watched the first half against Duquesne last night.  While Duquesne is obviously not a great test, Pitt's guards were much more impressive than I expected.  They look to be very deserving of their #2 ranking.

Pitt has really good guards......losing the geriatric Krauser was addition by subtraction.  Fields can play - - and Ramon can finally get his shots.  Dixon's guys are gonna run away with the Big East

Well if you were not impressed by Pittsburgh's guards last year than you must have been watching another game.  Levance Fields single handedly kept them in the game with MU last year, not sure if he missed a shot in the second half.  Ramon is one of the better shooters in the league.  Graves can play for anyone.  ALso, how can any MU fan forget Mike Cook the transfer from our old nemesis East Carolina, he personally handed us a couple of losses and now is only a year better and older.  Not too bad to have a double digit scorer,  do everything player transfer in.    Throw in Young, Gray, and Kendal into the front court and you have one of the deepest most talented teams in the country.  maybe not as sexy as UCLA, Florida, or Kansas.  But this team is as good as anyone in the country.  I know I mentioned more than just the guards, but this team is real good and the guards are as good as any backcourt in the country.  With all that said I could see UNC, Kansas or anyone else in the top 5 losing at Wisky and OSU.
