I was listening to local sports radio in  SF today and This basketball statistician Pete Tiernan mentioned that one of his statistical models has Marquette taking their region.  He also mentioned that the South was up for grabs as it there is no clear winner.

Tiernan is chatting on the ESPN Bracket Chat right now.  There was just this Q and A:

Cindy (Rye, NY): Hey Pete. Best time of the year!! Do you think Marquette can pull the upset on Stanford?

Pete Tiernan: (1:18 PM ET ) I would not consider that an upset. My numbers show that Marquette could beat Stanford. In fact, the very first statisitical model I ran had Marquette going to the final four.
