I was pretty happy with how the ceremony was run, but there were some things that caught my attention:

the song for the video clips, was the lyric, "looking for attention!"? if so that just seems a little off handed.

no manager speechs? My buddy ended his manager position last year as a senior and he got to have a speech. Maybe they didnt do it this year because there were 3 managers--- too much time?

Tommy Brice should have ended his speech about 45 seconds earlier, but we will chalk it up to nerves.

What was Trend even saying for most of his speech?

i loved watching the repoir between fr wild and Ous.

TC had some good lines.

all in all... the seniors will be missed.

cant believe someone critiques or takes shots at the seniors for what they did or did not say, or who spoke.  Man get a life will U

Trend maybe isn't the most well spoken player ever, but I thought his speech was very heartfelt.  He first thanked his mom and pointed at her and repeated a couple times that she was his mom AND his dad growing up.  He also thanked coach for giving him a second chance after he "messed up" (became academically eligible).  And finally, he closed with a "I LOVE MARQUETTE, BABY!"  You had to feel good for the young man.

Ooze's line about "Thank you to all the fans who have been booing me for four years" was a classic.  This was perhaps my favorite line ever from a Senior Night.

Love these Senior Nights.  As cheesy as they are, it is wonderful to hear from guys who have been in the program and are walking out Marquette alums.  I found myself very proud of Marquette that we have four class individuals like Tommy, Trend, Dan and Ousmane as fellow alumni.

I am not critiqueing anyone. Tommy started to talk and even he knew he didnt have anywhere to go with it. he is a good kid. I would have had trouble putting together sentences past the i want thank mom, dad, god, etc. I am not trying to bring him down at all. Just an observation.
As far as Trend... I couldnt understand what he was saying half the time. I got excited and had the microphone too close to his mouth, which distorted the sound.

I dunno .. I think they should go back to the way it was years ago .. Crean would do a spheal on each guy .. then turn it over to ONE Senior, who would give a more meaningful speech for all the seniors.

Now that each guy gets his 3-4 minutes .. it's a bit repetitive .. Thanks to this guy, that guy, my family, yadda yadda.   If it's just one guy the Seniors "elect" to talk .. hopefully he has some extra stories, anecdote, something about the coach .. beyond the regular thank-yous.
