I agree that paying college players the large sums is not wrong but it does change the dynamic. They are now pros and should expect to be treated as such. The old standard of "they're just college kids" no longer applies. Admittedly, some never applied that standard but I see no real basis for anyone to apply it now. College players are higher paid G-League players. Is the player worth the paycheck?
