There was animosity between IU and the Bennett family over how Kathi was treated when she was fired which was the reason he turned them down. The Bennett family is known for holding grudges, which is why Tony never went back to Buckyville, given how Bo did his best to downplay Dick's role in building the program he inherited.

Wasn't she going through cancer treatment when they fired her? I think that was the reason.

I think if we have a losing record he will be fired (unless there are catostrophic injuries). If we make the tournament,  he will not lose his job.  Anything between is up for debate.

Interesting.......kind of hedging their bets with only 2 years.........if things go sour they will almost certainly replace him........if they go really well probably extend him after the season.

I don't think this really helps him or Michigan from a recruiting standpoint. Although it makes him more likely to be there in one year than any of his players.
