Juan Anderson's Mixtape

Quote from: brewcity77 on January 28, 2026, 06:40:33 AMRoyce's 8/8 from two was huge, especially because it seems he's figuring out that being inside is his strength. 19/7 is a great line, but I didn't feel comfortable in the win until we got under 5 minutes with a 20-point lead, and it was NJ that drove that.

NJ with a close honorable mention to Royce.

Royce was miscast early in the season a perimeter shooter.  He's finally being deployed properly.

He's always been better suited for an Oso style offensive role (ball handling big) than a Steve Novak/Sam Hauser role (stretch 4 sniper).

The whole team has shifted their focus from shooting the early 3 to getting to the basket.

The bolded, but the entire post as well.  It's great that we have two worthy of the SOTG.

Too bad Rocky won't bother counting the votes. He's the Putin of Scoop.

Maybe, but I think it's more a matter of Parham being stronger down low and going up with confidence and ferocity. He had plenty of inside looks earlier in the season but was tentative.

I like dunks over layups........he has gotten stronger, more assertive and that has lead to better results and more confidence.......

Rolls Royce. What an efficient game, and at times just a bully.

This.  I thought for a year and a half he was just very soft inside, and almost suddenly, I don't think that anymore.

Close call, but Royce.

Tie between Nigel and Royce but I will go with Royce

Was going to add this earlier lol

BrewCity83

Royce!

Love the strong finish by Nigel too.

Royce

But want to give Adrien a shoutout too. The way he capped the end of the first half with those steals and finishes was kind of the dagger for Creighton. They were completely checked out after that run.

Markusquette

Nigel with 7 assists to one turn. 3 steals. 21 points and 5 boards. Royce was really solid all game but NJJ is the main cog in the machine (that is normally not well-oiled).
