Just in case you are really young and really Sarah Palinish when it comes to American and world history and really don't know who/what Hiroshima is ...

Class dismissed. Test tomorrow.
Almost 12 hours and Hards hasn't been by to express his dismay with political commentary.  I guess it really does depend on whose ox is being gored....right Hards?

Instead of using Hiroshima, can't we use "Jumping Out of McCormick's Windows Day"?

It's more MU relevant.

Quote from: Dreadman24 on May 09, 2012, 07:29:20 AMOk guys I'm a little lost and I know I'm gonna get blasted for not knowing who Hiroshima is but oh well. Many of you on here reference "Hiroshima" and I'm clueless as to what you all are talking about! Can Someone please enlighten me? Thanks!

It has arrived.

Quote from: mu_hilltopper on May 09, 2012, 08:21:11 AMSuch a classic response to (negative) information, posted by someone(s) who is sharing what they've heard, getting slammed for it.

FYI, I heard the same info, AMU84, from a source I very much trust.  I'm pretty sure you can't group me into the "a bunch of posters that are usually wrong" category.  The point is, there is a high probability that much of the basis for these rumors is true. Some players are in academic trouble, and may be leaving when grades are final.  Whether that comes to pass, we're all holding our breath.

The OP was May 2012, on the idea that everyone was going to transfer out, effectively blowing up the program. I said it was written by a bunch of posters who are often wrong. What I did not say is beucase most of what is written here (MUscoop) is unguided emotion and overaction to everything, which is what makes it wrong. It is not analysis, it is emotion.

Topper disagreed with me (above), insisting this was real because he had a "source" saying the program was about to blow up.

Well, what happened the following year?

Crowder was BE POY of the year, MU was the three seed, and they made it to the elite eight.

Again, too much around here is unguided emotion.

I just posted another thread saying that if Shaka decides to pivot, given his reputation, MU facilities, and the playing time he can offer, he CAN transform this team into a force next year.

It is not a question of ability; it is a question of abandoning current principles to confront the new realities of CBB.

10 years later, same old Heisy. "whether this comes to pass" is not "insisting."

It is actually almost 14 years later ... How would you describe this statement the year before an Elite 8 season?

a source I very much trust ... The point is, there is a high probability that much of the basis for these rumors is true. Some players are in academic trouble and may be leaving when grades are final.

Weasel words, because if Hiroshima happened, you would have had to say you were partially correct, you would presented yourself as MUscoop's nosterdamus.

Whether that comes to pass, we're all holding our breath.

Cannot have it both ways.

15 years ago (2011), in an investing post on the superbar, I made a bad call on AAPL. You want to define me about that for the next half a generation.

Then you're defined by this post, too.

Welcome to MUscoop. I don't make the rules.

Since I will be in Chicago and greater Milwaukee for customer visits the last week of January, I plan to attend the Creighton game.  I may regret attending or the walk back to my hotel may just remind me of being a student in the Dukiet years.

Quote from: Tugg Speedman on May 09, 2012, 07:41:04 AMIt is the perception on this board, by a bunch of posters that are usually wrong, that a large number of player will transfer when the semester is over.  Hence Hiroshima.

Oh.... Hiroshima? But good?

Quick question. I've made some dumb posts here, what does it actually take to get banned? What did you do.
