This team is better with Ben on the court than off.  He's improved defensively and rebounding.  Is he the star we all wanted him to be?  No.  Is he better than the current alternatives?  Yes.  Get him healthy for the tourney and get his shot back and this team could surprise someone.

I did.  I saw/see a 6'11 athletic forward who defends well, shot the 3 streaky well his first 3 seasons, and can put the ball on the floor and finish at the rim with either hand.

However, he never developed the killer instinct he needed on the offensive end.   Still too deferential.   And he never became as consistent as he needs to be shooting the 3.   Alas.

Too many injuries.  Not enough night in, night out intensity.

I made the exact same 3-leg play but got it in last night with Zuby at 15.5

You have been a Ben fan for years, I respect that. I saw Shaka trying to make him a center which he never was.  When I saw as an incoming freshman, I saw a skinny wing player with potential.  Shaka believes in player development, his line drive 3 ball never was changed, to bad. It's like watching Norman, his shot has been broken from the beginning. Player development, not there.  Sure they both improve with age and maturity, but either you have it or who do not, they do not.

Jay Bee is correct on it is going to be hard to match some of the individual shooting numbers , but I think there will be big improvement in Gold and Ross in that regard.
