We're loving Cape Fear. As expected, Bardem is spectacular, the perfect Max Cady. And the rest of the cast - especially the young people - are very good. It's truly chilling at times. They've changed up just enough from the De Niro film to offer viewers something fresh.

Critics have raved about Widow's Bay, with many calling it the year's best show. We've liked it, especially the always good Matthew Rhys, but there have been other shows we've enjoyed more. Including Cape Fear.

Had to go back and watch the 1991 Cape Fear.  As good as it is, the Apple series is doing it well and differently.

Super Troopers 3 upcoming.  I am sure it will be intellectually stimulating.

Sometimes it's nice to just be entertained by a movie/TV show.

Speaking of being entertained, we started watching Rooster on HBO while I have that subscription for HOTD. Really funny show through the first couple episodes.

I will check that out.

I am looking forward to the second season of the King Of The Hill reboot. The first season was excellent and really true to the original, and reviews say this one is even better. Yeah, I'm 50 and watch cartoons. It's a nice escape from reality.

In fact, my wife and I tried a local Robata restaurant (there aren't many in the US but there is on just a 5 minute walk from me), having learned about that style of cooking from KOTH, and man, it was excellent! Honestly, the best broccoli I've ever had.

I watched the 1st episode of Furious on Hulu and the two lead actresses are very good.

Just finished The Bear, outstanding show, fantastic last season. I will be watching it again sooner than later. Definitely the story of 30 years of my working life.

Can I hire you to cook for me sometime? 😅 In a much more relaxed environment, I'd hope.

I've been a fan of Ted Lasso, but I was a little underwhelmed by last night's S4 premiere. I'll chalk it up to the need for a table-setting episode for the new season and hope for the best.

Oh man, just watched it and have to disagree, thought it was a great start. Music was killer, too.

Have never watched a spiderman movie, but Spider Noir on Prime is a fun watch. Not a huge Nic Cage fan, but he is very good here.

High school buddy of mine is a storyboard artist on Spider Noir. Pretty cool vibe.

Plenty of schlock and corniness in the Taylor Sheridan universe, but Lioness is his best show by a MILE, imo, and absolutely fantastic.  Season 2 was awesome and Season 3 has started even stronger.

Does it glorify military operations and overly jingoistic for some?  Sure.  Is it sensationalized and overly dramatic?  Of course, its a Taylor Sheridan product.  But holy hell is it well shot, visually compelling, and gripping.  Easily the best cast of the bunch as well.

First 3 episodes of Reacher Season 4 just aired.
