Real Genius was really genius.   And his Doc Holliday was a masterpiece.  RIP.

Two great Val Kilmer movies/performances that flew largely under the radar:

The Salton Sea
Kiss Kiss Bang Bang

Top Gun Maverick a fitting farewell to Val.

I'm not sure any actor looked more like the subject he portrayed than when Kilmer portrayed Jim Morrison. He did a great job with Morrison's mannerisms, too.

He was miscast as Batman, but otherwise he was pretty darn good in everything.

God, this is heartbreaking, especially since I just learned today that Joe Lieberman died too

Since Lenny isn't here to say it, this joke wasn't funny the first time, much less the 69th time.

It will always be funny

I just watched Kiss Kiss Bang Bang on a flight a few months ago.  Hadn't seen it in a few years, but watched it a BUNCH in my early 20s.  One of my absolute favorite movies, much less comedies, of the 2000s.

In career of incredible performances and roles, Gay Perry is probably my favorite Kilmer character.  For someone who had turned into a serious and intense actor, his comedic timing and physical comedy chops were still so amazing.  Great talented cast, RDJ was great...and Val still stole ever scene he was in.

How can I forget Top Secret!!  Somehow my friends and I latched on back in high school when it first arrived on VHS and it became a frequent rewatch.

Great Call!
Doc Holliday was my favorite role of his, but Top Secret! and Real Genius are really funny movies and he was great in both of them.

Calvin:  I'm a genius.  But I'm a misunderstood genius.
Hobbes:  What's misunderstood about you?
Calvin:  Nobody thinks I'm a genius.

His role in Entourage was great also
Bring back FFP!!!

Sad news.  He was a a very good actor and someone you remembered in most of his roles.
