That's the floor for this team. Which gets them bounced in the first or second round. Now hopefully all the BS of a 1 seed can go away.  Take our 4/5 seed and run.

The game thread - with overreactions like this - is truly embarrassing.  The team lost on the road to a good college basketball squad that almost never loses at home.  MU is not a 4/5 seed because it lost a quad 1 game in a hostile environment.  Oy vey!

I assume so.  That whole 7'1, 215lb thing.  Project bigs are just that.  Projects.  Their progress is never as fast or as linear as we might like.

I am? Before the game they're ranked six projected 2 or 3 seed... now we lose to top 25
Team on the road and 4 or 5 is the goal? you may end up being right but that's some low expectations atm

Maybe you weren't watching. It's the way they lost. This team is capable of collapsing in grand fashion. Keep believing they're a 1 or 2 though.

I know this type is common across sports fandom, but it's so over-represented among MU fans. Arguably this is the stereotypical MUBB fan.

I watch every minute of every game.  Dayton won this contest by outrebounding Marquette and winning the turnover battle by a 2 - 1 margin.  Even though it snowballed on MU in the second half, Stevie had a wide open three with 50 seconds left to make it a one point game.  I'm not going to panic over a road loss to a team that's 38 and 2 on its home floor the last two and a half seasons. 

The early Kam foul in the 2nd half with Marquette up 13 gave me an uneasy feeling.  That was the turning point in this one.  Credit Dayton for staying poised and making the right adjustments at the half.

I honestly hate to say this, but Dayton wouldn't be the worst addition to the big east if we lost UCONN at some point. Pretty legit program that cares deeply about basketball.
