Excellent book, much better than the prequel Two tickets to paradise

Also superior to The Last Train to Clarksville.

Building off of the discussion in the economy thread, Matthew Desmond's Poverty By America is an essential read for many.

Currently reading An Immense World by Ed Yong, which feels right up Muggsy's alley. Enjoying it and learning a lot so far.

I recently read American Mother by Column McCann and Diane Foley.  Diane was Jim Foley's mom.  If you don't remember Jim was a journalist who attended MU and was beheaded/murdered by ISIS in Syria about 10yrs ago.  It's pretty gut wrenching but worth the read.  She actually met and spoke with one of the murderers.  Marquette is portrayed in a very positive light.

Yep, great book. Inspiring.

Too bad he incited violence that lead to Trump's shooting on Saturday right?

2/3 of the way through "Hot Dog Money" by Guy Lawson.  Chronicles the scandal in college basketball from 7-8 years ago through the voice of financial advisor Marty Blazer who turned and became a CI for the FBI.  Many names are dropped and though you know how bad things were (are) it is still stunning to see how things operated in college sports.

Yep, great book. Inspiring.

Sounds like you're going to have to possibly disavow the book.  Still, a great book to curl up on the couch and read.
