Chances are this guy was creepy, but I do want to throw an alternative.  My daughter is a dancer.  She wants to be on college dance team and perhaps even a pro sport dance team some day.  She has asked me when I've been at games about dance team performances.  I have recorded them in the past to show her.  Now this guy looked like he was going from cheerleader to cheerleader and zooming in so maybe not the same thing.  That said, I've never even considered me recording dance performances at sporting events to be creepy as my intent was to be able to show my daughter at home.   Guess I will need to reconsider this.

My granddaughter is on her high school varsity dance team and is also on a competitive dance team. People video her routines all of the time. I do think taking individual pictures of girls is not the same as videoing a routine. There may be a valid reason, but it looks questionable to me.

I'm glad this thread got started. We should stop all recording and broadcast of all secondary school and university athletic performances. I can't believe anyone has the audacity to watch any athletic performance of any kind. Maybe college sports is okay, but anyone VIDEOING and DOXXING minors playing sports and the posting their videos to message boards to "rate" these children with our fellow dentists? Disgusting.
