Good article, but to me it sounds like that reporter is trying to put the jinx on Marquette

Kam Jones, one of the Big East's best players....

Ironic that Ben Steele posted a Kam article today as well?
and Steele reads Paint Touches:
QuoteIf there is one move that exemplifies Jones' craftiness and effectiveness in the paint, it is that spinning attack. According to Synergy Sports data analysis provided by MU blog Paint Touches, seven of Jones' shots at the rim have included a spin. He's scored 13 points on those attempts and missed just one shot.

The last paragraph seems to be saying they don't expect Kalkbrenner to play.  Any intel on that?

It wasn't from reading Paint Touches. PT did the digging for Ben into Synergy and provided it to him. Basically a collaboration.

at the surface, we match up nicely.  creighton has a well balanced team from a scoring standpoint.  even if kalkbrenner returns, you have to wonder how effective he can be.  he's gotta be a little rusty, getting his wind back etc...i'd rather be facing creighton with their 5 game dumper on our court than theirs...duh

i really think our warriors are up to the challenge and it'll be a hard fought game until the last 5-10 minutes where we pull away and win by 10

The projected starting line-ups by the OWH don't show him playing.

Bulletin Board material.
Assume what I say should be in teal if it doesn't pass the smell test for you.
