I think we need to amp up our uniforms.  Any ideas?  We historically have the greatest collection of jerseys in NCAA history. I believe we can elevate our current design.

These are pretty cool. Could be better. The white home ones are so bland tho. theyre better than the horrid track team jerseys we had  for a couple years. i dont have much to add as far as inovation. 2011-2017 ones are as good as i can think

I miss the grays.   I feel like there was a lot of development and variations they could have done with those.

Also i cant beleive we havent done a 2003 throwback uni game.

It's time.  Although I've grown to kind of like the current set, we can and should do better.  Anyone know if there's a plan in the works?

I still don't like the Marquette script on the current unis. Otherwise, they're fine.

1) Throwbacks every year for Al's Night. It's been like a decade now that Marquette says "we're working on it, maybe next year." Time to shut up and get it done.

2) Navy/Gold/White/Championship piping needs to be a prominent staple. It helped define cool in the 70s, again in the 00s, and should remain.

3) Push to reinvent the classic looks. Untucked, Bumblebee (that hypnotic NCAA BS wouldn't stand today if you fight it), the 1969 with the circle numbers.

4) Limit the alternates. Gold for home, Navy for road, Championship for marquee/neutral games. Otherwise, no more than once a year for throwback, white, black, or N7, and no more than 3 alternate usages per year. That establishes the brand and sets expectations.

5) Create designs with alternate clothing types in mind. Sweatshirts, pullovers, t-shirts, all to reinforce the brand.

6) No more stripe outs. One color, uniform, works better.

Correct.   Axe the script immediately.  Then we can work on designs from there.

I would love to see these on the court!  Even with the font - it ties them all together.

These were done by a local high school kid BTW.

Again, dump the script Marquette. But otherwise cool.

I really like the Milwaukee Tool style script. It's unique and representative of the city. Maybe the best feature of the current unis.

Need a version of the untucked in there too.

As in final year of overall Jordan Brand agreement? Or final year of these uniforms?

We are excited to re-engage our partner on this very topic in the near term.  Absolutely want to find a way to honor our tradition of great uniforms.

Awesome, thanks.  Somebody should Tweet him the throwback mock ups that were on Twitter.  So long as Elon Musk allows it, of course.

He jumped into those discussions of his own accord. Before that tweet, he threw Jordan Brand under the bus and as I noted in my first point (before any of this discussion on Twitter started), went with the standard "we're working on it, maybe next year" type of response. I'm sure next summer we'll get "new" unis that are just a refit of what we currently have and another "maybe next time" response when it comes to throwbacks.

COLE.

When it comes to this topic, more like USS COLE because my hopes for Marquette uniforms we love and deserve have completely sunk.
