If you want to read the musings of a horny old man, UM decided it was in the taxpayers interest to publish them all online

Using his public university email account.  ::)

TAMU, Knower of Ball

Yeah, it's amazing to me that some university employees don't realize that their university emails are public information. They also don't realize that they are university property and offices like Title IX and HR can pull them whenever they want.

I scanned through the emails.  They were .. boring, frankly.   Occasionally a flirtatious thought, but that was it.   Lots of "Thinking of you."  Ice cream delivery sites, "Love can come at any time in a life .." .. "It was nice to spend time with you."

Even the texts were boring .. "Have a good day."  "How was your morning"

I suppose it has everything to do with the employee's age .. I mean, if she was in her 50s this is a super non-story.

After reading it .. sure seemed they wanted to fire him for other reasons too.

The Sultan

I'm not sure what you mean by "non-story."  He was in a relationship with a subordinate, which is a no/no anywhere.  Especially a college campus in 2022.

And they extended his contract not that long ago so I don't think they wanted him gone.

He was fired under a policy that he worked hard to implement recently.    Thou shalt not have romantic entanglements with subordinates.
Luke 6:45   ...A good man produces goodness from the good in his heart; an evil man produces evil out of his store of evil.   Each man speaks from his heart's abundance...

It is better to be fearless and cheerful than cheerless and fearful.

Isn't he the same guy who refuses to acknowledge the sexual abuse scandal from Bo Schembechler's regime?

Did you read his bio?  It amazes me that highly intelligent people can use such poor judgment or be that stupid.  He enacted the policy!
