Interesting that Shaka recalled UCLAs run last season by saying something along the lines of he thought they were a 7 seed and made a run to the Final Four...

I'm sure it was just an honest slip up but in reality they were an 11 seed in the play in game and got to the Final Four.

Furthermore, UCLA actually lost its last 3 regular season games...

AND it's first conference tournament game...

AND won its first four game in overtime versus MSU before making a magical FF run.

Goes to show you that sometimes it can legitimately be a game of inches. What could have easily been a flame out disaster to end the season with a loss to MSU, and I'm certain a ton of criticism of Mick Cronin due to 5 straight losses to end a promising season (sound familiar?) ended up as a magical Final Four run to get UCLA back on the map.
