The 5 teams we lost to this year were, Duke, @WVU, UL X2, @UConn, and @ND.... now of those 5 teams 3 of them are ranked. 1 is about to be ranked because they are red hot and everyone is healthy (UL), and 1 is a Top 2 team (Duke). Now i understand that some are upset with where we are at but with the exception of maybe one of these losses (WVU) I would say there is no shame in losing these games.  4 have been on the road and 1 at a neutral site. There is really nothing to be ashamed of, could we have hoped for more? maybe, but its not like we are going out and losing to the South Florida's, St. Johns, and Rutgers of the world. we are losing to teams that are either at the top of our conference or the top of the ACC.

You'll get no argument here. There is no shame in who we've lost to. I think a lot of the angst we're seeing is due to how we've lost. As Chicos and Marquette84 pointed out, we don't have a "bad" loss according to the RPI, so we really have nothing to be ashamed of.

I will admit, however, that after the win in Madison, and after playing Duke to within a possession or two early in the year, my expectations for this team rose quite a bit. It was something of a shock to then watch us struggle to beat SHU & USF, and then get blown out by UL, UCONN, WVU etc.

But hey, we're 6th in the best conference in the country, top 50 in RPI (that's a guess, but I'm just assuming. feel free to correct me) and we've played the worst of our schedule. We've got an opportunity to do some good things from here on out. Let's hope we can take advantage of that opportunity.

I think West Virginia was ranked at some point this year.
I think MU was generally picked to finished third in the Big East behind Georgetwon and Louisville. Now they are playing for 5th. Is MU doing worse than people thought or are Notre Dame and Connecticutt better than people expected. I think it is the later.
