I know many of us disagree politically but I am encouraging people to read Ayad Akhtar's:  Homeland Elegies.  Interestingly enough he grew up in Milwaukee and went to Brookfield Central.  His subject matter will automatically illicit some combative political discussions but it is beautifully written, and well worth the time regardless of your views.  If nothing else it will make one think about the Muslim-American experience post 9-11-01, not to mention his ingenious style which is quite unique and entertaining.   Anyway, I think it's well worth the read if you have the time.

Skatastrophy

IIRC that was on the NYT best books of 2020 list. Thanks for the recommendation I'll pick it up
