According to the scholarship table (thank you), MU has 9 scholarship players.  This includes Garcia & Perez.  All things considered, that's a fairly high retention rate.  As such, what is MU looking for the transfer portal?  Shooter, big man, etc.

The AD and President hired the right coach to keep the players excited about staying.  Not an assistant but an experienced Final 4 coach.  It will be interesting to see how he recruits the following year after he has some time here to fully understand what MU offers kids.

If Garcia stays, and the coaches can land a perimeter scorer, they should be a top-half of the BE team.  They also have the ability to recruit solely for depth to replace the Cain/John/McEwan minutes.  The next few weeks of recruiting the transfer portal should seem to favor MU insofar as you have all the things MU can offer, plus immediate playing time.
