Henry had more translatable skills to the pros. Timme is going to be limited by his athleticism and won't be able to score as effectively past the college level. Maybe he will prove me wrong. Henry's at least played in the league and just got another chance in the NBA on a 10-day.

The main thing with all the names mentioned is they lack explosion. Yeah they will score. It will be footwork, up and under, drawing fouls, movement. At some point though, a player just has to have the ability to move sideways, dunk on someone when they need to, and get up.

Garcia falls into the good college player mold so far.

Yes, Dawson really needs to improve his vertical "explosion" and how to use his height more effectively.  Gets blocked far too often now by shorter players.

Well, I could see an NBA GM look at Timme's form and think that maybe, with coaching and hard work, he could occasionally hit 3s. On a limited sample size, he shot about 30% at Gonzaga. Happ couldn't even make a FT, and he hit 1 of the 16 treys he attempted ... and I was surprised he attempted 16. I also think Timme is "niftier" than Happ around the basket, with a smoother set of offensive moves. But yes, I definitely see the comparison, and neither is an NBA player IMHO.

Good point on the 3s. Neither Timme nor Happ could hold a candle to Theo's 75% career 3-point shooting percentage.

Interesting note: Mike Kinsella (80%, 4-5) and Theo John (75%, 3-4) may be MU's all-time 3-point shooting leaders.

Garcia is already a better 3 point threat than Henry and Happ. If he's ever going to make a living playing basketball, it will come outside the arc.

Yes, but at 34% in BE play he'll need to be better at that as well.
