It is good to see in this article that Marquette seems to be looking at the approach of downsizing a bit and becoming more distinctive. It also looks like scholarships will be a priority. I realize this includes the money for the nursing school and the business school and other money already raised. It gives me hope that the leadership sees the future of college and how competitive it will be and with cheaper online alternatives.  Will need top programs and scholarships to compete.

I know some don't like this, but there really isn't another way. It seems like just a few years ago there was this idea of growing the school larger, which made no sense to me.  So majors won't be as well funded, but they will still be there for the most part.

Bring back FFP!!!

At least one Meat Eater is an FFP alum.

Personally, giving up the summer after senior year in high school to take classes in Milwaukee would have been akin to cutting off one's testicles. Those three months remain a foggy, hazy blur. Billy Wilder had a Lost Weekend. I had a Lost Summer.
