Four words I don't want to hear in the first ten minutes by the announcers, "Marquette is really struggling". Let do it this time in the first ten.

I would like to see an all-out diamond press to get us off from the get-go.  This would be disruptive to ND who wants to get into their half court, post offense game--and get us going on O.  Either that or a sauna or hot shower to get the blood flowing at the start.

Not sure if I like that particular idea as I think it may be a bit too risky on the road -- if they beat the press a couple times and get a couple easy baskets, that place will be up for grabs and the game could be over early. Then again, maybe as a coach, while you don't want to do anything crazy, you just challenge them to go out and not let them beat the press and take your chances. Whatever it is, I do agree with the concept of doing something along these line to ensure that our focus is on defense from the moment the ball goes up.

My thinking was that: a) we are already digging ourselves a hole at the tip whether at home or on the road, b) this plays to our strength vs. ND (unlike UL or UConn who would expose us on the press), 3) prevents them from getting into their O set with Harangody or forces him to receive the ball out of the post in order to break the press.

You heard it here first. Davante Gardner will be a Beast this year.
