I hope Marquette is able to remain a part of Jordan Brand without Wojo. After D Wade left Nike, it was Wojo's connections to Nike through Coach K that kept us as a part of Jordan Brand.

Whether the old timers like it or not, being a Jordan Brand school is a big part of recruiting. Not too far off being able to sell playing in Fiserv like the Bucks.

Pretty sure we were Jordan Brand under Buzz.  Don't believe that would change moving forward.

Correct, but you have to remember that our two biggest stars, D Wade and Jimmy, were Nike guys. Now both are not and with Li-Ning in China. The "tie that binds" was Team USA/Coach K connections that Wojo had with Nike.

If Li Ning wants to break into the American college market, MU would make sense.  They'd have to back up a brinks truck to get us leave Jordan though.  I suppose that's how they got Wade and Butler.

Maybe Li Ning paid the buyout????
