will there be any one?? could be an entirely new roster which would be weird. a fresh start is needed though so oh well.

ChitownSpaceForRent

I would say mayyyybe Lewis, Oso, and Greg. Think it's a matter of time before Dawson and Carton bolt.

Who knows at this point?  Let's see who the new coach is first.

Jockey

Depends on the coach and how quickly he can establish rapport with the current guys.

I would expect names to go up on the transfer portal fairly soon, but even then minds could change. Pretty sure that every underclassman eligible to be back won't be though.

With the eligibility and transfer exceptions this year, we could see a ton of new faces next year. Go find an established coach with some broad connections, and let's start over. This is actually a great year to be in this kind of situation.

Norm

I'd guess Oso, Akanno, Carton, Elliott, and maybe even Cain to stick with his buddy Greg with that extra Covid year. Not sure about Garcia or Lewis. Depends on who they hire.

Big Papi

If transfers are allowed to play immediately, this is the year to make a coaching change.  Yes we inevitably lose players from this roster but that was probably going to happen regardless of when we made a coaching change with who we had on the roster.

This is the best chance to bring in significant talent and place a stamp on the program quickly and hopefully not have a drop in the standings.  Since we are already at 9 of 11, we can't drop much too much lower.

Honestly, I'd assume everyone is gone and anyone who stays will be a pleasant surprise.

JTJ3

not worried.  liked some of these kids for sure, but if we make the right hire they'll get their own guys in here quick.

Exactly.  There's never been a better time to make a coaching change.

There are usually 947 players in the transfer portal.
In year 1, new coach reaches out to the top six and says ... IMMEDIATE PLAYING TIME!

+1.  You commit to a coach, not to a school.
