First of all, this is NOT an article to tell you who to pick in your bracket pool. In this, we look at how Cracked Sidewalks did compared to other bracketologists in projecting this year's field. Overall, the verdict is not bad, but there are lessons to learn and room to improve. We also look at some seeding discrepancies and where the Selection Committee got it wrong (Loyola, Colgate), and who suffers because of those mistakes (Illinois).

What to do with VA...we know they plan on fielding a team.  But they don't (can't) head to the bubble until Thur/Fri, and we don't know who will be held back due to covid.  As of now - one player for sure, but we don't know who that is.

So, pick Creighton/UCSB to the S16 as a safety pic (not awful anyway)?

Feels like the safe pick, especially as Ohio might beat UVa even if they do play the game. Jason Preston is really good.

I know some took issue with my Illinois comments yesterday. I just wanted to point out I did identify both LUC's misseeding and Illinois' difficult road before the tournament, and this was before digging into the Illini's Haslametrics profile that essentially showed how the blueprint to beat Illinois was everything Loyola does.
