Saturday afternoon in South Bend...

Spoke with my brother (MU '03) this afternoon. He and a large group of friends made the trip to South Bend for the game on Saturday. After the game they went back to the hotel before heading out to the bars. While sitting around the hotel room, drinking beers and talking about the game, the door to their room opens, and who pops his head in?

Tom Crean.

Apparently TC had walked by, heard them complaining about the refs, poked his head in and ended up talking with them for about 10 minutes. Crean agreed that the refs were awful, and thanked the guys for making the trip to ND and supporting the team.

Classy move by TC. The guy truly cares about the school, the team and the fans. Proud to have him representing my alma mater.

why is he walking into strange hotel rooms anyway?

Yeah, calling BS to this whole story.  Tell me why the team would stay in a south bend hotel after a noon game????  Its only a 4 hour bus ride back to Milwaukee, they'd be back by 8. 

The only reason I could see is if they were packing up to leave after staying in the hotel the night before...but I would imagine they'd be packed up and checked out before the game.
