Providence at Marquette (-3), 9 p.m., FS1. Providence has just played two teams superior to Marquette close, losing by two to Creighton at home and then by one at Xavier on Sunday. The Friars are trending in the right direction. They're on a three-game ATS winning streak and a couple bounces away from being on a four-game winning streak. Marquette, meanwhile, has lost four of five and is in an offensive funk. That's worrisome because its defense in Big East play has been lousy. The Golden Eagles rank last in defensive efficiency in Big East games. Again, happy to take the points here. The pick: Providence

It should be noted that Moore is 24-26-1 as a prognosticator ... so I give him a 50-50 shot at being right. A clucking chicken has about the same odds of being right with its beak.

I actually feel good about this one. We're gonna win and start a nice little run.
