Hidden users.

I was looking at the number of users/guests online here at Scoop.  Can anyone request hidden user status? How are hidden users different than guests, which I assume can read but not post? What is their function? Are the mods hidden users?

Profile -> Account Settings -> check/uncheck "Show others my online status" -> click "Change Profile"

That's all.  Hidden to most then, mods can still see your online status however.
