Would really like to see Stan land the Grand Canyon job.I think he would be an excellent choice and do a good job.He has strong connections on the West coast.Great fan support and an awesome student section.

I will indeed be happy for Stan if/when he lands a head coaching job. But, due to his value to the MU program, I'll apologize in advanced for not hoping he lands one anytime soon.

marqfan22

He probably makes more as an assistant at MU

I don't. I would prefer he land in a P6 team or several levels above Grand Canyon. That is a place a low midmajor assistant would go to sniff a head coaching job. They just moved up to D1 in 2013 and have only been to the CBI were the lost first round in every year but one.

Grand Canyon has a ton of money and amazing facilities from their days of being for profit.  Their students get academic credit for attending games. They can do better than Saint Stan the Unproven and may be close to landing a big name.

They get credit for going to games? For real? How does that work?

Yeah I would like to see how any accrediting agency approves that.

Doesn't UW@Madison give credit if you go bowling? Perhaps GCU is trying to be the Harvard of the Southwest.

Many schools have required PE courses. Most Ivy League schools do. At Columbia you have to pass a swim test to graduate.

schools also give credit for varsity sports participation.

Not sure how that corresponds with going to a basketball game.

Just to make this factually correct: Harvard is the UW-Madison of the northeast.

Please continue...

It was a response to another "Bucky has PT" obsession post.

Going to basketball games alone doesn't get you credit at GCU, but it's a part of an event participation program for campus events that can earn students credits. GCU is basically a country club where you occasionally have to go to class.

Yeah you are going to have to show me evidence of this.

Cripe, I would have been magna cum laude if Marquette did that!

Those classes would have made Horton look tough!
