New official net ratings and Marquette is 17th, one spot ahead of Nova and three behind Butler.

In theory one spot from being listed in official sweet 16.

Yes correct - just saying in theory if they ran the s-curve straight from the net ratings. They said it would be the starting point as I understand, but certainly each committee member will adjust from there for whatever they want.

Haha, as the great Celtics coach said while at Butler - one in six games you play terribly and you aren't that bad. I'm sure when we hit one or two losses such as maybe at Nova they will be back certain that the last 7 games were a fluke.

last year they even drafted that letter saying Markus was shooting too much which destroyed an until then great season.. Just kidding, they didn't do that.
