I tried MU ticket office first thing yesterday. They said all tix were allocated, and then they asked if I was a Blue and Gold member.

The alum I got tickets with bought Session 1 only tickets on StubHub.

If other teams in our pod turn tickets back in, MU gets a crack at it. First round games can be tough sometimes as you buy a pod of games, and if a team is local, hasn't been in in a while, or has a strong following, first round tickets can be tough. If STHs don't take all the allocations, then B&G members get next crack at them.

From what I've read, it sounds like they've changed things up a bit with the way they allocate tickets.  Blue & Gold fund level is now the primary allocation method, with priority point level (season ticket status) being a tie-breaker within each level.

Small but meaningful change IMO.

My scheduled slot to pick my tickets was about 6-8 weeks ago. I am a STH and B&G member.  Friends who are just B&G members, got emails this past week. Money and points do talk, however.

Stupid question I should've asked before I said I was coming down: My memory from going in Milwaukee is that most sessions have plenty of seats available, and so I figured I could buy tickets outside somewhere for the second round at a reasonable price. Is that realistic?

Absolutely always.
Except when we were in Louisville and in the same pod as Kentucky, still got them, did have to pay $250 a pop tho to watch us give Murray state a beat down

Once I called the admissions office with a question about an applicant who was the grandson of a friend.  I was asked it I was a Blue and Gold member, seems like money talks.  The new world.

If it's the Blue Bloods, tickets prices go up.  What l learned from being at sites with their fans is that the early rounds their season ticket holders are more apt to wait to later rounds to show--they expect the second weekend.  But, that those on decades long wait lists grab the early round seats as that the only time they can get them.  Their fans were offering to buy my ticket stub INSIDE the arena after the MU game was over so they could move down from the uppers for their game. They were talking like $100.

Weird to have a secondary market inside the arena. When I asked why, they say it's their only chance to see their team up close for a big game.

Heading in Thursday morning. No net to land in yet (need two tix).

You still need two for tomorrow?

Celtic Truth

I'm looking for 1 ticket for tomorrow. 3 of us going to the game, only one season ticket holder in the group who was able to reserve just 2 tix.

And if Marquette wins and Purdue wins I'll likely be selling 2 tix for Saturday. A family member from Purdue hooked me up with some tix.

Personally I'm a fan of the City Steam Brewery Cafe.  It's a large place too.

So this is the place yes?  We have three in our group and will plan to get there a before the first game starts for lunch and some beverages.

Wow, I'm very concerned for Benny.  Being able to mimic Myron Medcalf's writing so closely implies an oncoming case of dementia.

I think you're missing something here. For Saturday I'll be going to the game with 3 other Marquette fans. But I'll have 6 total tickets. I'll be looking to sell the 2 extra tix to Marquette fans who need them
