Eagles' NCAA tourney placement takes a hit

After reviewing last week's rankings, 14 of the top 25 teams lost last week. Despite losing twice, Marquette was able to remain in the polls, but it did take a hit in weekly NCAA Tournament projections.
The Golden Eagles were among the top 16 teams in Gary Parish's weekly seed predictions on CBS Sportsline for much of the season, but MU fell to a No. 7 position after its awful road trip last week.
Joe Lunardi of ESPN lists Marquette as a No 4 seed in decline, but that's probably because he believes that nine teams from the Big East will make the field of 64.
With home games left against Louisville, Pittsburgh and Georgetown, Lunardi obviously feels that MU still has opportunities to stay in the upper fourth of the field.
