Let's do this!

A share...which is okay, but if they get it Wednesday then Sunday is for the BE title outright! That's what I want!

I want this quote to serve as a reminder to the vast majority of scoop posters in regards to the MU BB program.

Yes a share but pretty much a virtual lock. They would be the 1 seed and would only share if they lost out the final 3 games and Nova won the final 3 games which wouldn't happen. A win Wednesday is for the title.

who has the tiebreaker if mu and nova both win out?

We won't know until all games are played since we split with Nova. It goes to record against next team in the standings. Right now that would be Georgetown who they went 1-1 against and we are 1-0 against but still have to play.

Either St. Johns or Xavier will make it to 9-9 since they play each other, Creighton, St. Johns, and Georgetown all have ways to end at 9-9. Worst thing that can happen for Marquette is to end with same record as Nova and have St. Johns be the only 3rd place team, since that would make us the 2 seed.

I thought the Tie Breaker for this would be Conference Road record. And Marquette owns that tie breaker.

I was also under the impression it goes to record against third place team and so on.

You are both correct. The road record is he thirs tiebreaker. Found a breakdown:

BTW, the linked document is obsolete.

Wow, I'm very concerned for Benny.  Being able to mimic Myron Medcalf's writing so closely implies an oncoming case of dementia.

I thought tie breakers were only for tournament seeding.  If the record is tied, we would share a regular season championship, regardless of head-to-head, road records, record against the 3rd place team, etc.

I agree with this analysis.

Those aren't the current rules. It's 2019.

(Although it's pretty much the same early on... eventually gets into NET though now)

Dr. Blackheart

To the OP, every game remaining before the NCAAs are for a Big East Title.  Wojo needs to whip out his Golden PowerPoint and tell the team to just win, baby.

MU is the only Big East team to have a winning record for the season on road. More so, MU is an identical 6-2 at home and on the road in conference play.

Defense matters.  Fans forget MU had 20 turns against Kansas State too and kicked their fannies on defense.  Flush the Creighton hot steamer and Crush the Hall with Balls of Jolly.
